Today, we are excited to announce that hotglue is a member of YCombinator's (YC) Summer 2021 batch!

What is hotglue?

For those unfamiliar, hotglue is a developer tool that makes building integrations with customers' business apps, such as Quickbooks & Salesforce, easy. hotglue gives developers a library of over 250 prebuilt integrations that they can embed in their product and use out of the box instantly.

On average, SaaS products need 15 integrations to support customers – for a small product team, each integration can take 2-3 months to build in-house. That is nearly 30 months of engineering work! Our goal at hotglue is to build an integration platform that can eliminate 90% of the engineering work that goes into building and maintaining integrations today – saving developers time so they can focus on the important stuff.

Although hotglue started with accounting integrations (Quickbooks, Xero, Intacct, etc.), we found that the flexibility of hotglue makes it a great framework for building any SaaS integration – regardless of industry. Today, we are supporting customers who operate in accounting, sales, marketing, billing, and even industries we didn't expect, like construction.

Joining YCombinator

We are honored to be a part of YC's Summer 2021 batch. YC has an impressive history of funding startups that look to disrupt markets and solve important problems. Notable companies that have gone through the program include Airbnb, Coinbase, Dropbox, and so many more. Even within the B2B SaaS industry, companies like GitLab, PagerDuty, and Zapier are all part of the YC community.

Since we were accepted into YC in April, the journey has been incredible. We have built amazing friendships with fellow founders and have continued to learn how to build a great company from leaders in the industry. We'd like thank our group partners at YCombinator, Harj Taggar, Nicolas Dessaigne, and Gustaf Alströmer, for their support. We would also like to give a special thank you to Calvin French-Owen who has been extremely helpful in building our vision for hotglue.

We are incredibly excited to have a fast-growing community of early customers after launching hotglue just a few months ago. We want to thank our customers and all the people who made it possible for us to reach this point – we are beyond excited to continue hotglue's journey.
